Shaar Hanegev

Kehillat Shaar Hanegev, meaning ‘gate to the Negev’, is a regional community of the Israel Reform Movement that comprises ten kibbutzim and works in partnership with the regional council and its organizations in leading Jewish, cultural and social action activities as part of Jewish identity and belonging.

Led by Rabbi Yael Vurgan, Kehillat Shaar Hanegev advocates for a pluralistic, egalitarian and relevant Judaism to be accessible to all residents of the region with spiritual life and connection to the Jewish tradition made by choice and in constant renewal.
