Emek Hefer Regional Council

The Emek Hefer Regional Council is a rural area with 41 settlements – moshavim, kibbutzim and community settlements. To a large extent, each settlement constitutes a community in itself with social and cultural activity.

The Reform community of the Emek Hefer Regional Council offers the only non-Orthodox alternative in the council to hundreds of residents who wish to celebrate the holidays and hold the ceremonies of the circle of life in a way that combines tradition and renewal, words from the prayer and contemporary Israeli poetry. A place where men and women can pray together and girls can come to the Torah.

The community is led by Rabbi Lila Vasid.
