Birkat Shalom, Kibbutz Gezer

Birkat Shalom is a regional Reform community, located in Kibbutz Gezer, on the main road between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
The community works in the spirit of the movement for progressive Judaism, to deepen liberal Jewish values ​​for its members around the Jewish calendar, while maintaining values ​​of liberality, equality and acceptance of difference.
The diverse activities and services offered by the community as a regional community include life cycle events, holiday and holiday celebrations, Shabbat acceptance prayers and other cultural and educational activities.
The rabbi of the community is Rabbi Steve Burnstein, an active and long-time member of the community since immigrating to Israel in 1997.
At the beginning of 2019, Rabbi Burnstein replaced Rabbi Miri Gold, the founder of the community, a trailblazing and respected rabbi in Israel and the world, who retired after 20 years of faithful service and activity in the community.
